Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to the most common questions about Limudi.
What is Limudi?
Limudi is a learning platform for schools. Students write their work in Limudi's editor and can get guidance from AI. Teachers can see how a piece of writing came together, including typing patterns, edits and pasted text, to help confirm that the student wrote it.
How does authenticity verification work?
When students write in Limudi's editor, the platform observes their writing process in the background. Teachers can then review this information to help verify that the work is genuinely the student's own.
Authenticity data is a tool for teachers and administrators. Students focus on their writing. The process is captured automatically.
Can students use AI assistance while maintaining authenticity?
Yes. Limudi lets students use AI for guidance. The teacher sets how many words can be pasted at once, and pasted text is recorded for the teacher. Students can:
- Ask questions about their work
- Get suggestions for improvement
- Receive explanations of concepts
- Brainstorm ideas and plan an outline
Students still type their own work. AI can guide, but it does not write for them.
Is my data secure?
Limudi follows standard security practices:
- Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
- GDPR Compliance: You can download your data at any time. Most users can also delete their account. Students at a school ask their teacher or school administrator.
- Access Control: Role-based permissions limit who can see your data
- Regular Audits: Ongoing security assessments and updates
- No Selling: Your data is never sold
For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
How much does Limudi cost?
- School Plans: Per-student pricing set for your school's needs
How do I reset my password?
- Go to the Login Page
- Click "Forgot Password?"
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for a reset link
- Click the link and create a new password
Password reset links expire after 1 hour for security.
How do I get into my classes?
Your teacher or school administrator enrolls you in your classes. Once enrolled, classes appear automatically in your My Classes section. If you don't see a class you expect, contact your teacher.
Can I submit assignments after the due date?
Limudi does not block a submission after the due date. Timed essays are the exception: you can only submit them while the timer is running. Your teacher decides how late work is graded, so check with them.
What if my teacher asks about my writing process?
If your teacher has questions about how you completed your work, be prepared to explain your process. Common reasons a teacher might ask:
- You wrote outside Limudi: If you drafted in another app and pasted the final text, the writing process wasn't captured
- Technical issues: Browser problems or offline sync gaps may have affected data
Tip: Write directly in Limudi's editor so your teacher can see your full writing process.
What happens if I run out of AI quota?
Each school plan includes an AI allowance. The school's AI budget is monthly and resets at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each month. There is also a yearly cap. A student can also have a personal limit per hour, day, week or month.
When a limit is reached, AI help pauses and a notice explains which limit was reached. You can keep writing, and your work saves normally.
Administrators can see their school's AI use in the AI usage tab of the admin dashboard. This tab is read-only.
Can I work offline?
Yes. Limudi has offline support:
- Write Offline: Your work saves locally
- Auto-Sync: When you reconnect, changes sync automatically
- Conflict Resolution: If your work changed in two places, you choose Keep Mine or Keep Server
