Getting help with Limudi and Lumi
Use this guide when a Limudi screen, setting, or notice is unclear. Lumi can explain product steps, but it cannot inspect your account, grades, school settings, or private assignments.
AI is paused or a limit notice appears
AI availability and limits can depend on the school and account settings. Read the notice shown in Limudi and, if you report the issue, include its exact wording and when it appeared. A limit notice alone does not show when access will return; do not assume one reset time applies to every school. If the notice says access is paused unexpectedly or remains unavailable, use Report an issue in Lumi or the support form and include the affected screen.
Find the Study Assistant
Open the assignment you are working on. At the top of the workspace, choose Split View or AI Only to show the Study Assistant chat panel. The switcher only appears when AI help is available to you for that assignment. The assistant can help explain ideas and give writing guidance. Your teacher's assignment instructions decide what is allowed for that task. If you do not have an assignment open, ask your teacher where to find the relevant work.
Levels, underlines, and writing marks
Language level is an assignment setting that teachers choose or adjust. Schools and assignments may use different terminology. If a level seems wrong, tell your teacher which assignment and level you see.
An underline may come from the browser, operating system, an extension, or a Limudi writing feature. Its color alone does not identify the source. Tell support which screen and browser you use, the color and location of the mark, and whether you have already observed it in another browser. If trying another browser, first confirm your work is saved; do not close or replace an unsaved draft. Do not share a full student essay unless support specifically asks through an approved channel.
Milestones, drafts, and work that will not open
Milestones appear only for assignments where the teacher has enabled them. For questions about a milestone or assignment requirements, check the assignment instructions or ask the teacher.
If a submitted or returned assignment is locked, first read the status and any teacher feedback shown on that assignment. Whether it can be edited depends on its status and teacher settings. If the teacher has already asked for a revision and the editor still will not open, report the exact status and the steps you tried. Avoid repeatedly changing devices or overwriting a newer draft while a sync conflict is unresolved.
Limudi keeps drafts and can show a Resolve Conflicts dialog when the copy on your device and the server copy differ. Compare Your Version and Server Version before you click Keep Mine or Keep Server. While you can still edit, the Restore Draft button (clock icon) in the editor toolbar lists your recent saved drafts. Older versions may not all be there.
Grades, quizzes, and class import
Lumi cannot look up a student's private grade or change a quiz result. Students should ask the teacher about a grade or answer marked incorrect. Teachers who see a possible grading problem should report the assignment, question, and expected behavior without including unnecessary student details.
Class creation and importing are teacher or administrator tasks, and the options depend on the school's setup and connected services. If an import fails, report the role you use, the import method, the step where it stopped, and the message shown. Do not upload a class roster into Lumi chat.
Location permission and privacy
Limudi does not ask for your device location when you sign in. If you see a location request, note whether it came from the Limudi app or a browser, and on which device, then report it. Lumi cannot inspect your device, account settings or stored data, and cannot make a promise about storage or deletion. For privacy questions, ask a teacher or use the support form.
Report a problem
Use Report an issue from Lumi or the support form when a feature appears broken, access is blocked, a notice is unexpected, or these steps do not resolve the problem. Include the screen or assignment area, what you expected, what happened, the exact notice, and steps already tried. A teacher may report a problem affecting a student's device; the teacher's report is useful even when the teacher's own device looks fine.
Share only information needed to understand the issue. Do not include passwords, authentication codes, full class rosters, or a student's complete work. Reporting saves the issue for review; it does not mean Lumi has inspected the account or that a fix or response time is guaranteed.
Clarify the affected app and access
If you saw a location prompt, say whether it appeared in the Limudi app or a browser, and on which device. Lumi cannot inspect your device or account. A writing mark can also originate in a browser, extension, operating system or Limudi; ask about the affected browser or screen before attributing it.
For a grading concern, students should ask their teacher about the particular rubric or result. Organization administrators manage schools and rosters; they do not see grades or student work. School Administrators and teachers need the right school or assignment access. A role label alone does not grant access to every student's work. Lumi cannot inspect or regrade private submissions.
