Using Limudi on Mobile

You can use Limudi on a phone or tablet in two ways:

  • The Limudi app: download "Limudi" from the App Store (iPhone and iPad) or Google Play (Android).
  • Your browser: go to limudi.com in Safari, Chrome, or another browser.

Both work the same way and use the same account.

Logging In

  1. Open the Limudi app, or go to limudi.com and tap the login link.
  2. Enter your Email or Username and Password.
  3. Tap Login.

You can also sign in with a button under Sign in with, such as Google, Microsoft, or Apple, if your school uses one. If your teacher gave you a login badge, tap Badge Login and point the camera at the QR code on your badge.

Student accounts are created by your teacher or school. If you cannot sign in, ask your teacher. See Login and Account Issues.

Getting Around

Tap the menu icon at the top left to open the sidebar. From there you can reach My Assignments, Projects, My Classes, My Grades, and Search. Your name at the top of the sidebar opens the account menu.

The bell at the top right shows your notifications. Help (the Lumi icon) opens help.

Working on Assignments

  1. Open the sidebar and tap My Assignments.
  2. Tap Open Assignment on an assignment.

On a phone the editor shows one panel at a time. Use the switcher at the top of the screen to move between the AI Study Assistant (AI Only) and your writing (Editor Only). You can also swipe left or right across the screen to switch. If AI help is off for you, only the editor is shown.

The toolbar shows the most used buttons. Tap the arrow at its right end (More formatting) for the other tools. See Using the Editor.

To read the instructions, tap the i button (Assignment Details) next to the title.

To add a picture to your writing, use Insert Image in the toolbar (under More formatting, then Insert).

Submitting

Tap the green Submit Assignment bar under the assignment title, then confirm. The steps are the same as on a computer. See Working on and Submitting Assignments.

Before you submit, check that the bottom of the editor shows Saved! (on small screens, a check mark).

Downloading Your Work

If you download your work from the Export menu on a phone or tablet, the file opens in a new tab. Use your device's share or save option from there.

Notifications

In the app and in the browser, Limudi can send push notifications for new assignments and returned work. If Limudi asks "Get a notification when something new needs your attention?", tap Turn on and then allow notifications. To choose which ones you get, tap the bell and then the gear icon. See Notifications.

If notifications do not arrive, check that notifications are allowed for Limudi in your phone's settings.

Weak or No Connection

If your connection drops while you are writing, keep the assignment open and keep typing. You see "You are offline - Changes will sync when connection is restored". Your work saves when the connection comes back. See Drafts and Offline Editing.

App Updates

The app updates itself in the background. You may see Updating Limudi… for a moment. If the app is too old, it shows Update the Limudi app. Tap the button to open the App Store or Google Play and install the latest version.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is there anything I can do on a computer that I cannot do in the app? A: Your assignments, grades, and feedback work the same in the app and on a computer. A bigger screen is easier for long writing.

Q: Will my work from my phone show up on my computer? A: Yes. Your work saves to your account. Close the assignment on one device before you continue on another.
