Logging In with a Badge

If your school uses badge login, students can sign in to Limudi by scanning the QR code on their badge. No password is needed.

How to Log In with a Badge

  1. Go to the Limudi login page
  2. Click Badge Login below the login form
  3. Allow camera access when prompted
  4. Hold your badge QR code in front of the camera
  5. When the code is detected, you see Badge detected! Logging in... and you are signed in

Badge login requires camera access on your device. Make sure to allow camera permissions when your browser asks.

Troubleshooting

Camera Not Working

  • Browser permissions: if you see "Camera access was denied", allow camera access for Limudi in your browser settings, then click Scan QR Code to try again
  • No camera detected: if you see "No camera found on this device", use a device with a camera or sign in with your username and password
  • Camera in use: close other apps that might be using your camera

Badge Not Recognized

  • Make sure the QR code on your badge is clean and undamaged
  • Hold the badge steady and keep the whole code inside the camera frame
  • If you see "Invalid badge code", your badge may have expired, been revoked or been replaced. Sign in with your username and password and ask your teacher for a new badge

Rate Limiting

If you scan too many times in quick succession, you see "Too many login attempts. Please try again later." Wait a moment and try again.

Switching to Password Login

If badge login isn't working, click Use Username & Password Instead below the camera. This takes you back to the standard login page.

Language

You can switch the interface language using the language selector in the top corner of the badge login page.

Q: How do I get a badge? A: Your teacher or school administrator creates badges for students. If you don't have one, ask your teacher.

Q: Can I use badge login on my phone? A: Yes, as long as your phone has a camera and your browser allows camera access.

Q: Is badge login secure? A: Yes. Each badge contains a unique code linked to your account. If your badge is lost or stolen, tell your teacher. They can revoke it or make a new one, and the old QR code stops working.
