Login and Account Issues

This guide covers the most common problems with logging in to Limudi and how to solve them.

I Forgot My Password

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click Forgot Password?
  3. Enter your email address or username
  4. Click Send Reset Link
  5. Check your email for a message from Limudi (check spam/junk if it's not in your inbox)
  6. Click the reset link in the email
  7. Enter and confirm your new password
  8. Click Reset Password. You'll be taken to the login page, where you sign in with your new password.

Password reset links expire after 1 hour. If yours has expired, repeat the process to get a new link. Resetting your password signs you out on your other devices.

I'm Not Receiving the Password Reset Email

  1. Check your spam/junk folder: reset emails sometimes end up there
  2. Wait a few minutes: email delivery can be delayed
  3. Check what you typed: use the exact email address or username you registered with
  4. Add Limudi to your safe senders: if your email provider filters messages, allow emails from Limudi
  5. If it still hasn't arrived after 10 minutes, contact support with your username

I Can't Log In: "Incorrect email, username or password."

This error means the email or username and password don't match an account. Try:

  1. Check for typos: email addresses are not case-sensitive, but passwords are
  2. Check Caps Lock: make sure Caps Lock is off when you type your password
  3. Use password reset: if you're unsure of your password, reset it (see above)
  4. Try a different browser: browser autofill can sometimes enter old or wrong details
  5. Use your sign-in button: if you created your account with Google or Microsoft, use that button under Sign in with. The login page may remind you of this under the error.

Too Many Login Attempts

After too many login attempts in 15 minutes, you'll see "Too many login attempts. Please try again later."

  1. Wait 15 minutes, then try again
  2. If you don't remember your password, use Forgot Password? to set a new one

I Can't Log In After Registering

If you've just registered and can't log in:

  1. Verify your email: if you signed up with an email and password, click the link in the verification email first. The login page shows Check your email and a Resend verification email button until you do.
  2. Double-check your email or username and password for typos
  3. Try resetting your password using the Forgot Password? link
  4. If you registered through a claim link from your teacher, make sure you finished the password setup step
  5. Contact support if the issue continues

I Can Log In But I'm Redirected Back to the Login Page

This usually happens when your browser blocks cookies. Limudi uses cookies to keep you signed in:

  1. Enable cookies in your browser settings for limudi.com
  2. Disable Strict Tracking Protection if you're using Firefox Enhanced Tracking Protection
  3. Disable browser extensions temporarily (ad blockers can interfere)
  4. Try Incognito/Private mode to rule out extension conflicts

I'm Logged Out Frequently

If you're logged out often, it may be because:

  • Your session is expiring and the refresh is failing
  • You're behind a school firewall that blocks cookies
  • You're sharing a browser with another user who logged out

Fixes:

  1. Make sure you're using a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
  2. Make sure limudi.com is not blocked by your network's firewall
  3. If you're on a shared computer, don't use someone else's browser profile

Single Sign-On (SSO) Issues

If your school uses Google, Microsoft or another sign-in service:

  1. On the login page, under Sign in with, click the button for your school's sign-in service
  2. If asked, choose your school account
  3. Allow the requested permissions when asked

If SSO fails:

  • Ask your school administrator to confirm which sign-in service your school uses
  • Try clearing cookies and signing in again
  • If your school uses Google Workspace and you see an error, contact your IT department

Password Requirements

When creating or changing your password:

  • Minimum 10 characters (14 for Administrator and admin accounts)
  • It must not match any of your recent passwords

My Account Was Removed

If your school removed your account, you can't log in with it. The login page shows the same "Incorrect email, username or password." message.

  • Contact your teacher or school administrator to find out what happened
  • If you believe it was a mistake, contact support with your school name and email
