Projects
A project is a set of assignments that belong together, such as the steps of a research paper. Each part is its own assignment.
Opening Your Projects
Click Projects in the left sidebar. You see a card for each project your teachers have published for your classes. Each card shows:
- The project name, class, and description
- How many parts it has (for example "4 parts")
- Sequential, if the parts must be done in order
- A progress bar, for example "1 / 4 completed"
If you see "No projects yet", your teachers have not given you a project.
Inside a Project
Click a project card to open it. The page shows:
- Shared Instructions: what the whole project is about
- Project Rubric: how the project is graded, if your teacher added one
- Project Parts: each part with its type, due date, and status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not Started | You have not submitted this part. |
| Submitted | You submitted this part. |
| Graded | Your teacher returned this part with a grade. |
| Locked | You need to finish the part before it first. |
Click a part to open it in the editor. A part counts as completed once you submit it.
Parts That Must Be Done in Order
If the project is sequential, the page says "Sequential gating enabled: students must complete parts in order". A locked part shows "Complete the previous part to unlock this one." Submit the earlier part and the next one unlocks.
Project parts also appear on My Assignments like any other assignment. A locked part does not appear on My Assignments until you submit the part before it. On the project page it shows Locked.
