AI Usage
The AI usage tab shows how much of the AI allowance has been used so far. It is read-only. You cannot change limits from it.
Open the tab
- Click Dashboard (or Admin) in the sidebar.
- Open the AI usage tab.
Organization Admins with more than one school choose a school under School.
This year
This year shows the share of the yearly AI allowance already used, with a progress bar and the date the allowance renews.
If your organization's schools share one allowance, the text says so. The percentage is then for the whole organization.
This month
Each student has a monthly AI allowance that renews on the 1st. When a student reaches it, AI help pauses for that student until then.
This month shows:
- How many students have reached their monthly AI limit.
- A table of classes with the number of students and the Allowance used.
- A Near the limit badge from 80% and a Limit reached badge at 100%.
If you see "This school has no AI allowance set up yet", contact Limudi support.
Other AI controls you have
- Turn the student AI tutor, AI grading for teachers and the AI grading preview for students on or off in School Settings.
- Subscriptions in the sidebar shows your plan with an AI Usage bar. See Subscriptions.
What only Limudi can change
AI limits, AI cost caps and per-student allowances are set by the Limudi team. To ask for a change, use Help & Feedback in the account menu or the support page.
When a student says AI is unavailable
AI access depends on school and class settings, year-group rules, parental consent and usage limits. Ask the student for the exact notice they see and when it appears. Check the AI usage tab to see if their class has reached its limit, and School Settings to see if the AI tutor is on.
