School Settings
The School Settings tab holds the settings that apply to every teacher and student in one school.
Open School Settings
- Click Dashboard (or Admin) in the sidebar.
- Open the School Settings tab.
Organization Admins with more than one school pick a school first.
The settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enable AI Grading for Teachers | Teachers can ask for AI grade suggestions and feedback when they review work. Teachers still decide every grade. |
| Enable AI Grading Preview for Students | Students can see an AI assessment of their work before they submit it. |
| Enable the AI writing tutor for students | Turns the student AI tutor on or off for the whole school. It cannot turn AI on where year-group rules or parental consent do not allow it. |
| Student intake | When on, new students answer a few getting-started questions and write a short sample before they begin. When off, they skip both. Without the sample, the authenticity check has no personal typing baseline to compare against. |
| Allow student discussions | When off, student discussion boards are off for every assignment. Private messages between a teacher and a student still work. |
| Limit the AI tutor to teacher materials | The tutor uses only each teacher's uploaded materials and never searches the web. Teachers cannot turn this off. Only an Administrator can change it. |
| Discussion Moderation Level | The default moderation for student discussion comments: Relaxed, Moderate (recommended) or Strict. Teachers can change it for one assignment. |
| Current school year | The school year new classes start in, for example 2026-2027. Changing it does not archive or move any class. |
| Default Language Level | The default language level for all classes. It can be changed for one class or one student. |
| Show rubrics to students by default | Whether students see the rubric. Teachers can change it for one assignment. |
Save your changes
Click Save Settings at the bottom of the tab. Reset puts back the values you had before your edits.
Sign-up email domains
The Sign-up email domains card sits on the same tab. Teachers who sign up with an email at one of these domains are attached to your school and wait for your approval on the School Approvals tab.
To add a domain:
- Type your school's email domain, such as
school.org. - Click Add domain.
Domains save as soon as you add or remove them. You do not need Save Settings for them.
- Each domain shows who added it and when.
- To remove a domain, click the trash icon next to it.
- Public email services such as gmail.com cannot be added.
- If accounts with that domain already exist and belong to no school, Limudi offers to attach them. Click Attach them or Not now.
With no domains, teachers who sign up are not linked to your school automatically.
