Your Teacher Dashboard

Dashboard is the first item in the left sidebar and the page you see after you sign in. It refreshes by itself every minute.

Before You Have a Class

If you have no classes yet, the dashboard shows Welcome to Limudi with:

  • Create your first class, which opens the dialog to create a class.
  • A link to My Classes.
  • Import from Google Classroom and Import from Canvas, Schoology and more (not shown in every region).

If you added a sample class, a banner offers Create a class, Import from your LMS and Remove sample class.

What the Dashboard Shows

From top to bottom:

  • Alerts: a strip of chips for things that need you, such as work to grade, grades not yet released, missing work, a student marked Declining, or a safety concern. Click a chip to go there.
  • Greeting: one short sentence about your week, such as which class meets next and how many submissions came in.
  • Search: search your assignments. Press Enter to see the results.
  • Class Pulse: one card per class with its current assignment and a bar showing how many students are done, working, not started or late. Click View all to open Student Work for that class. Click a card to show that class in the sections below.
  • Authenticity Heatmap: a grid of students and assignments for the selected class, colored by authenticity (80 and above, 50 to 79, below 50, not started, new submission). Click a student's name to see their submissions.
  • Authenticity & Accomplishments: how many of this week's submissions need a closer look, and recent student accomplishments, such as a class average going up or a student improving over several assignments.

On the right:

  • Recently online: students in the selected class who were active recently, with what they are doing.
  • Calendar: assignment due dates by month. Click a day to see what is due.

Customizing the Dashboard

  1. Click the gear (Customize).
  2. Drag sections to reorder them, or use the switch to hide one.
  3. Click Done. Reset to default brings back the original layout.

You can reorder and hide Class Pulse, Authenticity Heatmap and Authenticity & Accomplishments. Recently online and Calendar always stay on the right.

Calendar Feeds

Click the gear under the calendar (Calendar settings) to open Calendar Connections.

  • iCal Feed: paste the iCal link of another calendar and click Add Feed to show its events on your dashboard calendar.
  • Your Assignment Feed: click Generate Feed URL, then Copy, and subscribe to that link in your calendar app to see your assignment due dates there. Generating a new link stops the old one from working.

Sync now under the calendar refreshes imported events.

The Guided Tour

The first time you open the dashboard, a short tour starts. To see it again, open the account menu, choose Help & Feedback, and click Retake Tour.
